A survivor of sexual assault and her best friend travel around the nation raising awareness around sexual assault prevention and bystander intervention through a combination of open dialogue and witty humor.

Feminist Fest

From 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Student Center – Ballroom A

Join campus & community women’s organizations for a dynamic celebration of womanhood. This bash will feature free popcorn, cookies, music and lots of feminist swag! This event is aimed to get students talking about just why feminism is important today.

Equality Speaks Presents: Dr. Marc Lamont Hill

Dr. Marc Lamont Hill is one of the leading intellectual voices in the country. He is the host of HuffPost Live and BET News, as well as a political contributor for CNN. Dr. Hill has received numerous prestigious awards from around the country.

 Wellness Woof Wednesday

Snow Health Center – Room 103

An opportunity to relieve stress and spend time with the registered therapy dogs of Therapaws of Michigan. Come out and enjoy your time with these great animals! The event is free, but donations to Therapaws are greatly appreciated.

Thursday 9/11

Welcome Back BBQueer

From 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM

The Lakehouse (behind the Student Center)

Join your Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Resource Center at one of the biggest kick off events of the 2014-25 school year with food (first come first served), fun and prizes. This event is open to all EMU faculty, staff and students.

Slam Poetry is one of the most vital and energetic movements in poetry that attracts the minds of diverse backgrounds. Lyric Lounge, co-sponsored by the Poetry Society allows you to explore the most relevant topics of your generation.

Friday Night Movie: Godzilla

Two showings at 8 and 10:30 p.m. The world’s most famous monster is pitted against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence (IMDB).
