Professor Jonathan Sarna, “That Obnoxious Order: Ulysses S. Grant and the Jews.”

Dr. Jonathan Sarna is Joseph H. & Belle R. Braun Professor of American Jewish History at Brandeis University and Chief Historian of the new National Museum of American Jewish History.

Wednesday

Michigan’s Journey to Racial Justice

From 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM

Halle Library Auditorium

Mark P. Fancher is the staff attorney for the Racial Justice Project of the ACLU of Michigan. This lecture honors the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act, and it is also a Constitution Day event. Lecture addresses racial discrimination in many areas.

Equality Speaks Presents: Dr. Marc Lamont Hill

From 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Dr. Marc Lamont Hill is one of the leading intellectual voices in the country. He is the host of HuffPost Live and BET News, as well as a political contributor for CNN. Dr. Hill has received numerous prestigious awards from around the country.

Painting with a Purpose: ACC-EMU Fundraising Event

From 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Painting with a Twist – 3143 Oak Valley Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48108

Bring a friend and your favorite beverages & snacks and have a fun night out at PWAT in Ann Arbor painting a lovely ‘COLORS of FALL’ scene and support the ACC-EMU! (no art experience necessary). Adults 21 or older please. Must register and pay in advance.

Dr. Joel Schoenhals Beethoven Sonata Cycle Recital: Concert No. 5

Join pianist Joel Schoenhals, Dept. of Music & Dance faculty, as he performs Beethoven’s Sonata #32. Part of a four-year performance journey through the complete piano sonatas of Ludwig van Beethoven. A Steinway Campaign Event.
